Guests staying at Coopershill Country House can also visit many of the region's Historic Houses and Gardens.

Lissadell House and Gardens, Co Sligo - forever associated with, and immortalised by, the poet W B Yeats, Lissadell House and Gardens are undergoing an extensive and sensitive renovation that has brought them back from years of neglect. Both the house and gardens are open to the public with guided tours available.

King House, Boyle, Co Roscommon - is a magnificently restored Georgian Mansion built around 1730 by Sir Henry King. The grand scale of the reception gallery, its original stone floor, tripartite windows and high vaulted ceiling portray the impression that this 18th century residence was built as a symbol of the status, wealth and power of the King family. King House became a military barracks to the famous Connaught Rangers Regiment from 1788 until 1922 and in more recent years has been a barracks for the Irish Army.
Today visitors can explore the house and enjoy a range of exhibitions that offer an enchanting view of Ireland’s heritage and culture.

Strokestown House, Gardens and Famine Museum, Co Roscommon - is an 18th century mansion which has been faithully restored. It is unique in that it retains its original furnishings and professionally guided tours allow visitors to browse freely through the stately surroundings. The 4 acre 18th century walled pleasure garden has been fully restored to its' original splendour. It's piece de resistance is its' herbaceous border which is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest herbaceous border in Britain & Ireland. The Famine Museum uses a combination of original documents and images from the Strokestown Park collection to explain the circumstances of the Great Irish Famine of the 1840's. This collection boasts an extensive range of papers including actual letters written by the tenants on the Strokestown Estate at the time of the famine.

Salthill Gardens, Co Donegal - This contemporary garden whispers stories of walled gardens past, but today stands independently of trends and restorative themes. The walls have stood for 100 years and were maintained, as was the gravel paths, the greenhouse and the continual green lawn. Since 1985 the lawn and cultivated perimeter, have been gradually transformed by Elizabeth to the present individually styled garden. The evolution continues season by season, always feturing a good selection of perennials, vegtables and shrubs.

Florence Court House and Gardens, Co Fermanagh - was the family home of the Cole family, who were known as the Earls of Enniskillen, after the nearby county town. The house is best known for its exquisite rococo decoration and fine Irish furniture. Many original items of furniture, previously sold, have been re-acquired and returned. The estate includes a walled garden with displays of both temperate and semi-tropical plants, a working water-powered sawmill, an ice house, and a natural spring well. The Larganess River flows through the estate. Pasture lands and forestry occupy much of the estate. It is a prime source of Irish yew wood.

Castle Coole House, Co Fermanagh - the family home of the Earls of Belmore and one of the treasures of the National Trust. Highlights of a tour of Castle Coole are the magnificent state rooms with their sumptuous Regency furnishings. These include the State Bedroom, said to have been prepared for a visit by George IV in 1821. The surrounding 700 acre estate is a fitting setting for the house, with parkland, Lough Coole and extensive woods. Visitors may enjoy walks in the grounds and also see the Grand Yard, the Servants' Tunnel, the recently restored Ice House, the dairy, stables, laundry house and display room which includes the Belmore Private Coach.
