About Us

Coopershill has been in the O’Hara family since it was built in 1774 and Simon O’Hara is the 7th generation to call it home.

Christina McCauley is the accomplished chef, born and raised in Strandhill, Co. Sligo who is responsible for the incredible food enjoyed by all who visit. Christina trained under Darina Allen at the Ballymaloe cookery school and works with the acclaimed Cavan chef, Neven Maguire, during the Coopershill closed season.

The rest of the team, without whom we would be lost, are mostly called Mary and live locally. The Mary who has been here the least time has already spent 7 years and the most enduring is Maura at 21 years.

Alice is responsible for greeting guests and acting as a guide on walks around the 500 acre estate. She is a Brittany Spaniel.
